(Guide)
How much does a business website cost in Cyprus?
It is the first question almost everyone asks, and the honest answer is that it depends on what the site has to do. This guide gives you realistic ranges, explains what actually moves the price, and lists the ongoing costs nobody warns you about.
The short answer
For a small business in Cyprus, a well built website usually falls somewhere between a few hundred euros for a single page and several thousand for a larger site with many pages, multiple languages or a shop. That is a wide range on purpose, because a one page site for a cafe and a multilingual booking site for a hotel are not the same job.
Treat any figure you read online, including ours, as a rough guide rather than a fixed price. The only number that means anything is a written quote for your specific site, which is how we work. What follows is meant to help you understand why two quotes for the same thing can differ so much.
What actually drives the price
Four things move the cost more than anything else, and none of them is the colour scheme.
- How many pages, and how different they are. Ten pages that share one layout cost far less than ten pages that each need their own design and content.
- Languages. Cyprus is multilingual. English, Greek and often Russian each need real translation and extra build time, not a machine-translated afterthought.
- What the site has to do. A site that only informs is cheaper than one that takes bookings, sells products, syncs with an accounting system or feeds a property portal.
- Who writes the content. Good words and photos take time. If you supply them, you save money. If we write and source them, that is real work and it is priced in.
Rough ranges to plan around
As a rough guide for budgeting, not a quote, a simple one to three page site for a shop, clinic or tradesperson is typically the lower end of the scale. A standard business site of five to ten pages with a contact form and two languages sits in the middle. A larger multilingual site, a booking system or an online shop with a real catalogue sits at the top, and a custom portal or integration is a separate conversation closer to software and apps than to a brochure site.
We quote per project at a fixed price agreed before any work starts, so you know the number before you commit. There is no open-ended hourly meter running in the background.
The costs people forget
The build is a one-off. A few things recur every year, and an honest supplier tells you about them up front.
- Domain name. A yearly fee for the address, usually modest.
- Hosting. Where the site lives. A fast static site can be hosted very cheaply, sometimes free, while a shop or a database-driven site needs more.
- Email. A proper business mailbox on your own domain is a small monthly cost worth paying. See our guide on moving email and files to the cloud.
- Changes later. Prices, menus and opening hours change. We build so you can edit those yourself, or we make changes for you, whichever you prefer.
Where the cheap options catch you out
A free page builder or a very cheap template can look like a bargain. The catch is usually a monthly licence that never stops, a slow site that struggles on a weak mobile signal, and a design you cannot move away from without rebuilding. For a Cyprus business whose customers are searching on a phone, speed and being found locally matter more than a long list of features you will never use. We hand-build sites to avoid that trap, which you can read more about on our web development page.
How to get a price you can trust
The fastest way to a real number is a short conversation about what the site must do, how many languages you need and who supplies the content. From there we send a plain summary and a fixed quote. If you are also weighing up who should build it, our guide on how to choose an IT company in Cyprus covers the questions worth asking before you sign anything.
Questions
Questions, answered.
About website pricing in Cyprus. If yours is not here, just ask.
Can I get a website in Cyprus for a few hundred euros?
Yes, for a small, well made one or two page site where you supply the text and photos. It will not include a shop, multiple languages or bookings, but for a small business that mainly needs to be found and contacted, it can be genuinely good value.
Why are some quotes so much higher than others?
Usually because they are not the same site. A higher quote often includes more pages, real translation into Greek or Russian, a booking or shop system, or content written for you. Ask each supplier to list exactly what is included, then compare like for like.
Do I have to pay every month?
Not for the build. You pay once, at a fixed price agreed first. The only ongoing costs are genuine ones such as a domain, hosting and email, and we tell you what those are before you commit.
Will I be able to update it myself?
Yes, where you want to. We make the parts that change often, such as prices, menus and opening hours, simple to edit, and leave the structure to us. If you would rather we make changes for you, that is an option too.
Does a cheaper site hurt my Google ranking?
Not because of the price, but a slow or poorly built site does. A fast, well structured site that works on mobile and is written around what your customers search for will rank better than a bloated template, whatever each one costs.
